An Umbrella

If you do not cling to things, you do not need to worry about losing them. I remember losing an umbrella at a train station in Washington D.C. one day. It was a very nice, new umbrella and I set it down to buy some tokens. I got on the train and I suddenly remembered I forgot the umbrella by the token machine. I could have gotten angry with myself for my forgetfulness, but what good would that do? Forgetfulness cannot be cured by anger. I hope whoever found it remembered their unintentional gift from me on some rainy day and got some use out of it.
