Disagreement

Filed under: Teachings — roshihogan @ 12:03 am

If you have a disagreement with your practice, this may show a sign of progress. Are you giving yourself to it, or maybe you are holding back. If we want to make a wish in a wishing well, but we never let go of the coin, we cannot get our wish, can we? We have to commit to tossing the coin in. If we are holding back in our practice, we are not giving what it takes to feel good about it.

If we are disagreeing with our practice while giving our all, chances are we are expecting too much, too soon. We really should not be expecting anything at all. Getting frustrated or shouting at a seed in the ground to grow does not work. Sunshine, water, patience, that is what is needed.
