Your Garden

The ancients of long ago found great joy in the simple things. Today, we have so many distractions that pass for joy that the simple joys are forgotten by most. A good day of work in the garden is most enjoyable. Planting, weeding, moving stones, watering are important not only in the garden but in our way. Simple things that bring simple pleasures. With the right amount of sunshine and rain, our practice and our flowers will grow into something beautiful. People look to technology when they should be looking to nature or themselves for happiness. If you do not put the time and effort into your garden, you will not get what you desire. Sometimes people want all flowers and no weeds. If we find weeds, we can pull them up and bury them and that provides nutrition to the soil. We have to be patient with our garden. We cannot plant seeds one day and expect a harvest the next. Remember that if you plant anxiety, you will reap anxiety. If you plant peace, you shall harvest peace.
