Time Will Appear

The most important part of a practice is consistency. We have to practice everyday Tao. It is better to practice ten minutes a day than an hour once a week. Of course, it is best to practice every second Tao! Practicing everyday keeps the flow going. Stopping and starting is hard on your car’s engine and so too on your practice. Some people say they want to practice but do not have the time. Surely you must have a few minutes to light some incense when you get home and say a brief chant? Do you not have ten minutes in the morning or before bed to close your eyes and follow your breath? We have plenty of time even though we may not think so. Being the common man or woman, we are not monastics. We have jobs, families, responsibilities. However if you seek to find the time, you can find it. If you desire it enough, the time will appear. Talking does not cook the rice.
