Mindfulness Of The Moment
It is essential to practice mindfulness of the moment. I liked to daydream when I was growing up. Now I think about all I missed by not paying attention. When the mind is off away somewhere, we become disengaged with the present. Unlike conventional presents, this present cannot be returned. Once it is gone, it is gone. It quickly becomes the past. Often we are not happy with the present. We long for the past or the future. Why is this so? The present is what it is. The past we can dress up to make it more palatable to us. The future promises potential and happiness. Yet the greatest potential and happiness can be found in the present; this very moment.
