What is Your Career?
What is your career? Are you a carpenter? A bus driver? A doctor? Practicing the Way should be what we consider our career. It is the one that will give us the deepest satisfaction. It rewards us for our hard work with great pay. Pay in the sense of peace and contentment. It provides a wonderful chance for advancement if we do not try too hard to advance. The fringe benefits are excellent. It is also one career that we do not or should not retire from. Until our last breath, we should be on the job, working diligently. Other careers come and go. We work hard only to find ourselves underappreciated or let go when the mood strikes someone. A career practicing the Way is the ultimate in self-employment.
