Immerse Yourself

A carrot does not become part of the soup by staying outside of the cooking pot. A potential follower of the Tao does not become one with the Tao by merely talking about the Tao. One must practice. It is quite easy to talk but often hard to do. The Tao is so easy to understand and practice, that few understand it or practice it. You do not get wet from the ocean by standing on the cliff. Like the famous cliff divers in Acapulco, you must dive from the cliffs and skirt the jagged rocks and submerge yourself to become one with the ocean. To be one with the Tao, you must immerse yourself in it by practicing diligently and making it a part of every second of your day.
