The Hollowness of Artificiality

Filed under: Teachings — roshihogan @ 12:24 am

Those who seek happiness in the artificial will only find hollowness. The Tao represents the real. It is in the genuine and true that we can find harmony. The artificial can bring only fleeting pleasure, not lasting happiness. The artificial promises much but delivers little. In a world that glorifies the fake and the phony, a seeker of the real may seem out of place. The real can be found in the twinkling stars, the call of the wolf, the raindrops that fall, the sun that warms. The seeker discerns the difference between real and unreal and casts away what does not ring true.
