A Wild Horse
The mind is very powerful like the sun. The sun can be warm and nurturing or it can be oppressive and burning. The mind can create its own heaven or its own hell, its angels or its demons, or its own security or fear. Our minds can create what we choose to let them create. Feed them garbage and they shall run wild with great ignorance and they will cause great suffering. Feed them the wisdom of the Tao and they will be our closest ally, stable and clear. If you treasure a wild horse, you must keep it corralled to prevent it from running off. In the same way, the mind must be corralled to prevent it from running away and getting into trouble.
